David Wolfe aka Wolfie is a Costume Designer with over 30 years’ experience across feature film and high-end television. Based in London and working internationally, he creates distinctive, character-led costume design for projects ranging from large-scale action films and high end cinematic tv drama to children’s features and entertainment productions. Designing distinctive cinematic worlds through character-driven design and leading large-scale international productions with calm, experienced authority. He is particularly known for combining strong visual identity with practical design solutions for performance, action and demanding shooting schedules.
He has led international wardrobe teams on ambitious productions, delivering complex costume builds at scale — from intimate storytelling to epic screen worlds, including large-scale crowd and military costume design for Hollywood features such as The Legend of Tarzan.
Earlier in his career, Wolfie worked alongside several of the industry’s most respected Costume Designers, experience that helped shape his craft and collaborative approach to filmmaking. He is a recipient of the BBC Vision Design Award for Costume Design.
